Carsen Lost his Front Tooth

I must admit that I was not looking forward to Carsen loosing his teeth. I was so worried what it was going to look like and how of course it was going to affect all of our pictures!!! Then last week at CBS (a bible study) a wise women said a prayer that really spoke to me. She said during our prayer time "Lord, please bless all the young mothers in the group and help them to spend more time kissing that little place on their kids neck that goes away when they are teenagers like my kids." At that moment I realized that I get too caught up worring about things that don't matter. I mean look at him!!! He is the cutest thing I have ever seen!!! He is so proud that he gets to join the "Lost Tooth Club" at school. That is when you get to put your name on a tooth and put it on the wall. Plus he can't wait to show all of his friends and family that he has a hole in the front of his mouth that he can spit water through!!! (After all what could be cooler for a little boy!!) It always amazing how God works in your life. Through that simple prayer I am trying to stop avoiding the milestones in my children's lives that seem to come so quickly and enjoy every one that they are currently in.

Carsen Gets a BOO BOO!!!

We were playing outside today with our neighbors and Carsen fell and hit his head on the concrete!!! Of course, I didn't think that it was that bad so I told him that he could keep playing and a little later he came to me complaining of a headache. When I looked at the back of his head he had a big goose egg on it!!!! (What are the chances???) After I gave the kids their baths he came to Tom and I and told us that he needed to go to the doctor. (He gets all of his drama from his Daddy!!! Or at least that is what I tell people!!!) I called the doctor and they told me to ice it to help with the swelling. Carsen didn't want to hold the ice because "it is too cold for my hands!!" So his sweet sister offered to hold it for him. Then since he was not feeling well he needed her to get him some grapes to eat. Of course she will do anything for her BIG BROTHER!!! So here he is getting the royal treatment. Sissy is holding the ice on his bump and he he busy eating grapes!!!! What a life this is!!!!

Carsen Starts Baseball

Well, the time has come for baseball season for Carsen. He is really enjoying it and Daddy is looking past the fact that he is on the "New York Mets!!!" Of course his sister is right in all of the action along with the rest of the family. Everyone comes to all of his games!!! Mommy, Daddy, Presley, Ommie, Granddaddy, Grandma Heaton, Poppie, Aunt Lori, and sometimes his cousins Chris, Alysha, and Nick!!! You could say he is already a real celebrity!!! For those of you that know Carsen well you know that he loves it!!!! He is getting bigger and bigger by the day and Tom and I are so proud of him. It is moments like these that make you treasure family memories!!!

Presley's First Day at Preschool

Well, believe it or not Presley started school today!!! I told Tom this morning that it just really seems like time flies. It doesn't seem like long ago I was feeding her while waiting in carpool line. I told her last night that we needed to get to bed early since we had school in the morning and her exact words were "Tomorrow is NERVOUS day!!!!" She woke up this morning ready to go and she was excited to have her school bus sign that her Daddy made her. He is pretty famous in our house for the signs he makes for school. I know that one day they will not want to hold them so I am taking full advantage of it now while I can. Daddy and I took her to breakfast for her special first day that has become a tradition for us now with the kids. Just a little something to make them feel as special as we think they are. I am beginning to see as a mother how quickly time passes and I feel so blessed to be a part of my children's daily activities. It is my prayer this year that I will not let a moment fly by without being noticed because these moments pass too quickly. Presley, Mommy and Daddy are so proud of you and we can't wait to see what God has in store for you this year. May his love always bring great comfort to your heart. We love you!!!!!
